Description

Providence is a purpose built wedding and function venue. Set in the beautiful garden of a gracious Natal country house amidst the luxurious forests above Nottingham Road, Providence has been built in the Natal Victorian style with red bricks, green roofs, wrap around verandahs and courtyards. Providence also has a charming ivy-covered chapel nestling amongst a grove of pine trees. Designed to cater for up to 180 guests, Providence has the facilities and infrastructure to cope with numbers. The hall is extremely versatile and can easily be adapted for parties as intimate as 80. The venue comes fully equipped with tables, chairs, table-clothes, chair back covers, cutlery, crockery, glass ware and waitresses, and there are no hidden costs. Not included are floral or other decorations of the venue. We will only take one booking per day thus ensuring our undivided attention to your function. We don't have a cut-off time for the end of the evening so that the function can run its course in a relaxed manner.

Providence is personally run by ourselves, Kevin and Fern McComb. We can provide a full wedding service from the sending of the wedding invitations, to the ordering of the wedding cake should you so wish. However you may like to take care of some of these arrangements yourself. We can be of assistance in this regard by recommending approved suppliers and operators such as flower arrangers, photographers and discos etc.

Both Kevin and Fern are proud of the high standard of their catering, having had many years of catering experience - Fern being the star, having trained at the London Cordon Bleau and later working for Prue Leith in London.

We are able to design menus to cover every budget, and all menu items are personally selected by Fern, and her individual attention guarantees a perfectly prepared and presented meal.

We are not tied to any particular menu or item and will entertain any preference. We have even prepared a Granny's favourite dish to her personal recipe. We do have an extensive list of menu items to help you choose a perfect menu for the big day, which is available on request.
